제7차 국어과 교육 과정에서는 창의적인 국어 사용 능력 향상을 교육의 핵심 과제로 삼고, 문법 교수학습 방법으로 탐구 학습을 제안하고 있다. 그러나 실제 교육 현장에서는 수업 시간의 부족, 학생들의 수준 차이로 인한 적용의 어려움 등의 이유로 탐구 학습이 제대로 이루어지지 않고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 문법 교육을 위한 새로운 탐구 학습 모형의 개발에 초점을 두고, 논의를 전개하였다.
2장에서는 탐구 학습의 개념과 모형을 정리하고, 문법 교과서를 탐구 학습의 관점에서 살펴 그 적용 범위를 정하였다. 그리고 현행 탐구 학습의 문제점을 보완하는 방안으로 웹기반 교육과 문제 중심 학습을 탐구 학습에 도입할 것을 제안하였다.
3장에서는 2장의 논의를 바탕으로 최욱(2001)의 웹기반 문제 중심 학습의 세부 과정을 문법 수업의 특징에 맞게 재구성한 후, 김광해의 탐구 학습 모형(5단계안)을 통합하여 웹기반 문제 중심 탐구 학습 모형을 설계했다. 그리고 문법 교과서에서 구체적인 내용을 선정, 웹기반 문제 중심 탐구 학습 모형에 적용한 사례를 제시하였다.
본 연구에서 가장 중점을 둔 부분은 문법 교육을 위한 탐구 학습의 새 모형의 개발이었다. 따라서 이 연구는 웹기반 문제 중심 탐구 학습 모형을 실제 수업 현장에 적용한 사례를 제시하지 못했다는 한계가 있다. 그러므로 이 연구에서 개발된 웹기반 문제 중심 탐구 학습을 적용하여, 문법 탐구 능력과 학업성취도 및 파지에 대한 효과를 검증하는 후속 연구가 이루어지기를 기대한다.

The key of the education is a creative and active learning program for the learners and the exploring study is suggested as the learning & teaching method of Grammar in the 7th plan of the education. It, however, is not performed properly due to the difficulty of application that is caused by the lack of the hours of teaching and the difference of levels among the learners in a real situation. Thus, this study focuses on the development of the new exploring study model for teaching grammar.
It arranges the notion and model of exploring study and shows the limit of its application by observing the Grammar textbook. It proposes the introduction of the web based subject learning to supply problems in the present exploring study in chapter 2.
In chapter 3, it designs the model of ‘the web based subject learning’, combining ‘The models of Exploring study (5steps)’ by Kim Kwang Hae, after reorganizing the detailed courses of the web and subject based learning by Choi Uk(2001) for the grammar class that stands on chapter 2. Also, it selects the concrete contents in the Grammartextbook and shows the examples applied to the model of ‘the web based subject learning’.
Above all, it’s the most important to develop the new model of the exploring study for the grammar education in this study. It has, hence, limitations that it doesn’t present the applied examples to the web based subject learning in a real teaching spot. Therefore, the succeeding research that is able to inspect the academic achievement and effect is anticipated, applying to the developed the web based subject learning.
