초록(요약문)
본 연구는 이별 후 고통이 우울에 미치는 영향에서 정서표현양가성과 속박감의 이중매개 효과를 검증하고자 하였다. 이에 따라 최근 1년 이내에 연인과 이별한 경험이 있고, 현재 교제 상대가 없는 만 19세 이상 39세 이하의 성인 미혼 남녀를 표집하여 총 480명을 대상으로 설문을 실시하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 23.0과 PROCESS Macro 4.2를 사용하여 매개효과를 분석하였다. 본 연구의 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 이별 후 고통과 우울의 관계에서 정서표현양가성의 단순 매개효과는 유의하지 않았다. 둘째, 이별 후 고통과 우울의 관계에서 속박감의 매개효과가 나타났다. 셋째, 이별 후 고통과 우울의 관계에서 정서표현양가성과 속박감의 순차적 이중매개효과가 검증되었다. 이러한 본 연구의 결과는 이별 후 고통이 우울에 미치는 영향에 대한 이해를 증진하고, 실제 상담 장면에서 개입 전략을 세우는 데 기초적인 자료를 제공할 수 있을 것이다. 마지막으로 본 연구의 의의 및 임상적 함의와 제한점, 그리고 후속 연구의 방향에 대하여 논의하였다.

The purpose of this study was to examine the sequential dual mediating effects of ambivalence over emotional expression and entrapment in the relationship between breakup distress and depression. To this end, data were collected from a sample of 480 unmarried male and female adults aged 19 to 39 who had experienced a romantic breakup within the past year and were not currently in a relationship. The collected data were analyzed for mediation effects using SPSS 23.0 and PROCESS Macro 4.2. The main findings of this study were as follows. First, the simple mediating effect of ambivalence over emotional expression was not significant in the relationship between breakup distress and depression. Second, a significant mediating effect of entrapment was found in the relationship between breakup distress and depression. Third, the sequential dual mediating effects of ambivalence over emotional expression and entrapment were verified in the relationship between breakup distress and depression. The results of this study can contribute to enhancing the understanding of the impact of breakup distress on depression and provide meaningful implications for developing intervention strategies in psychotherapy settings. Finally, the significance, clinical implications, limitations of this study, and directions for future research were discussed.
