이 시대의 우리는 누구나 행복한 가정을 만들길 꿈꾼다. 부모는 자식을 바라보며 그려왔던 미래를 이어나가고, 자식은 그런 부모를 바라보며 미래를 그려나간다. 하지만 현실은 무겁기만 하다. 일에 지친 부모들과 학업에 짓눌려 사는 자식들은 서로의 얼굴을 바라보며 살고 있지 않다. 문제는 여기에 국한되지 않는다. 가정이 안식의 공간이 되려면 가족 구성원 모두가 서로를 이해하고 위해주는 공간이 되어야 하지만, 현실은 그렇지 않다. 수직적 가부장 중심의 사고는 사회 곳곳에 남아있다. 한국영화에 그려진 가족의 모습은 이런 현재의 상황을 반영한다. 필자는 이 부분을 주목하였다. 영화 <사도>를 관람 후 아버지의 권위적인 모습에 대한 이해와 앞으로의 부자관계를 긍정적으로 변화시키고자 하는 마음이 들었던 경험이 있었기 때문이다. 이에 본 연구는 부성애 소재 영화가 관객의 부자관계에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 한다. 설문연구와 심층 인터뷰를 통해 부성애 소재 영화 <사도>가 관객의 부자관계에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고자 했다. 이를 위해 부자 관계 집단, 비 부자 관계 집단, 비 관람 집단을 선정하여 집단을 비교하였다. 영화를 관람 후 각 집단별로 얼마나 영향을 받았는지 알아보는 것을 목표로 하였다. 이러한 연구를 위해 설문 대상은 2015년 9월 16일 개봉한 영화 <사도>를 영화관에서 관람하였거나 DVD, 합법적 다운로드를 통해 영화를 관람한 인원으로 선발하였다. 선발된 인원을 부자관계 집단, 비 부자 관계 집단, 비 관람 집단 총 3집단으로 나누었다. 각 집단별로 설문지를 작성 후 편의표본추출방법(convenient sampling method)을 활용하여 총 146명의 표본을 산출하였다. 이 중 설문지 미완성 및 무응답 3개를 제외한 총 143개의 설문지를 본 연구의 최종자료로 선정하였다. 전체 설문지중 부자관계 집단은 50명, 비 부자관계 집단은 45명, 영화 비 관람 집단은 48명의 설문지가 취합되었다. 회수 검색을 마친 자료는 통계처리프로그램인 IBM SPSS Statistics 24 for Windows을 이용하여 연구의 목적에 따라 기술통계량을 측정한 후 독립표본 T-test와 일원배치 분산분석 ANOVA를 이용하여 검증하였다. 이와 같은 방법과 절차에 따라 자료를 비교한 결과 다음과 같은 설문연구 결론을 얻었다. 첫 번째, 부성애 소재 영화 관람 후 부자관계 집단은 부자 관계가 긍정적으로 변하였다. 두 번째, 부성애 소재 영화 관람 후 부자 관계 집단이 비 부자관계 집단보다 가족관계의 대한 이해도가 더 높다. 세 번째, 영화를 관람한 부자 관계, 비 부자 관계 집단이 비 관람관객 집단보다 부성애 소재 영화에 대한 관심이 높아질 것이라는 가설에 대한 검증은 일원배치 분산분석 결과 통계적으로 무의미한 값이 도출되었다. 이는 각 집단마다 평균값의 차이가 없는 결과이다. 심층 인터뷰의 결론은 다음과 같다. 영화 관람 후 ‘가족의 중요성에 대해 다시 한 번 생각하게 되었다.’라는 답변은 ‘잦은 접촉을 시도하였다.’, ‘아버지에게 마음을 열었다.’라는 답변과 더불어 부성애 소재영화가 관객의 부자관계에 긍정적 영향을 주는 결과였다. 이는 부성애 소재영화가 관객의 부자관계에 긍정적 영향을 주었음을 시사한다.

We dream of happy family. Parents live a life watching their children and children dream of future watching their parents. However, the reality is not always good. We are suffering from the reality. Parents tired of work and children suppressed by study live together not watching one another. The problem does not stay here. To make home a space of rest all the family members should understand and take care of one another. However, it is not true in reality. Hierarchical patriarchal thought remains here and there in this society. The family described in Korean films reflects this current situation. The writer pays attention to it. It is because the writer had an experience in trying to understand authoritative figure of father and to change father and son relationship positively after watching film "The Throne." Accordingly, this study tries to identify effects of films about father's love on father and son relationship of cinema audience. It was tried to identify effects of "The Throne" which deals with father's love on father and son relationship of cinema audience through survey and in-depth interview. For the purpose of the study, father-son group, non-father-son group and non-watcher group were selected for comparison. The goal was to identify effects of movie on each group. Subjects of survey were recruited among those who watched "The Throne" in the cinema which was premiered on September 16, 2015 or who watched it through DVD or legally downloaded file. Total subjects were classified into three groups such as father and son group, non-father and son group and non-watchers group. Each group was asked to complete survey questionnaires and 146 samples were selected through convenient sampling method. Out of them 3 incomplete copies were excluded and 143 copies were used for the final analysis. Out of total subjects, 50 fell in father and son group, 45 in non-father and son group and 48 in non-watchers group. Data were analyzed using a statistics program IBM SPSS Statistics 24 for Windows. Descriptive statistics quantity was measured according to the purpose of the study and verified through independent sample T-test and one-way analysis of variance ANOVA. The followings are the results of analysis comparing materials according to the aforementioned method and procedure. First, after watching films about father's love, father and son group showed positive changes in their father and son relationship. Second, father and son group showed higher understanding on family relationship than non-father and son group after watching films about father's love. Third, in the verification of the hypothesis that father and son group and non-father and son group who watched the movie would show higher interest in films about father's love than non-watchers group, statistically insignificant value was induced in ANOVA. It means that there was no difference in mean values of those groups. The result of in-depth interview is as follows. The answer ‘I came to think about importance of family once more.' shows positive effects of the movie about father's love on father and son relationship with answers such as ‘I tried more frequent contacts.’ and ‘I came to open mind to my father.’ It suggests that films about father's love have made positive effects on father and son relationship of cinema audience.
