초 록 신재생에너지 언론 보도에 대한 내용 분석 - 태양광, 풍력, 바이오 에너지를 중심으로- 본 연구는 신재생에너지의 신문기사의 보도 형태와 신문사 간의 보도의 차이를 알아보기 위해 시작되었다. 그래서 크게 신문사 간의 내용과 정보원, 기사형식으로 나누어 신문사의 보도 형태와 차이를 알아보고자 했다. 분석 대상은 전국지 세 곳과 지역신문인 두 곳을 선택했다. 분석 시간의 경우 세 부분으로 나누어 조사했다. 첫 번째 시기는 2002년 10월1일부터 2003년 9월30까지로 조사했다. 두 번째 시기는 2008년 1월1일부터 2008년 12월31일까지로 조사했다. 세 번째 시기는 2012년 1월1일부터 2012년 12월31일까지로 조사했다. 연구 결과, 시간의 경과에 상관없이 단순한 정보제공형의 기사가 많은 것으로 나타났다. 기사량의 경우 에너지에 관계없이 두 번째 시기에 가장 많은 기사가 보도되었다. 전국지와 지역신문의 경우 에너지별 보도 비율에 있어서 큰 차이를 보이지 않았으며, 모든 신문에서 태양광의 기사가 가장 많이 보도되었다. 그리고 재생에너지 종류와 상관없이 모두 국내의 기사가 상당수를 차지했다. 결과적으로, 모든 신문에서 내용면에서 볼 때 경제적 측면을 강조하거나 단순한 정책내용들이 주를 이루었으며, 전국지와 지역신문의 경우 재생에너지 관한 보도 형태에서 큰 차이를 보이지 않았다.

Abstract Analysis of the Media Coverage on Renewable Energy: A Focus on Solar Photovoltaic, Wind and Biomass Energy This study was launched to examine the differences of the media coverage and forms of news articles on renewable energy. The content, source and form of article were explored to identify the differences between the news providers. The subjects included three nation-wide daily newspapers and two local daily newspapers. There were three different time frames for the analysis: first, from October 1, 2002 to September 30, 2003; second, January 1, 2008 to December 31, 2008; and third, January 1, 2012 to December 31, 2012. It was found that a majority of the news articles focused predominantly on the provision of simple facts and information regardless of the passage of time. In terms of the number of articles, they were concentrated during the second period mentioned above, without any specific focus to a certain energy type. Both nation-wide and local papers did not show any significant difference in terms of the coverage by energy. All daily newspapers featured the most on the solar PV energy. Moreover, most articles were domestic, regardless of the type of the renewable energy covered. In conclusion, the articles in all newspapers emphasized the financial/economic aspect of the energy or focused simply on the relevant policies. Both nation-wide and local papers did not show any significant difference in terms of the form of coverage on renewable energy.
