국문초록 한국 프로야구 투수의 연봉에 관한 분석 서강대학교 경제대학원 김영호 본 논문은 실증분석을 통하여 한국 프로야구 투수의 연봉이 어느 기록에 가장 영향을 많이 받는가를 살펴본다. 기존의 투수의 능력치를 평가하던 평균자책점, 승리 등의 기록은 투수 자체의 능력뿐만이 아니라, 투수를 제외한 팀원들의 수준이 반영된 기록으로써 온전히 투수 자체의 능력이라고 보기 어려운 부분이 있다. 따라서 새로운 방식에서의 투수 기록에 대한 접근이 필요했는데, WHIP, FIP등의 기록을 이용하여, 투수 자신이 통제할 수 있는 기록과 연봉과의 관계를 분석해 본다 분석결과 연봉에 가장 높은 영향을 미치는 것은 승리로 나타났다. 이는 상대적으로 객관화 되지 못한 지표에 투수의 연봉이 결정된다는 것을 의미한다. 이러한 결과는 독립적으로 투수의 능력을 평가할 수 있는 기록을 바탕으로 한 연봉제의 필요성이 있음을 시사한다.

ABSTRACT A study of determinants of Korean baseball pitchers’ salary Kim, Young ho Graduate School of Economics Sogang University In this paper, through empirical analysis, take a look at whether receive many annual salary of pitcher Korean professional baseball will affect what kind of record. Analyzed by adding a record that can be added to an index of evaluation of the ability value of the pitcher in the past (e.g..ERA,Wins), their own pitcher controls. So, this paper analyzed the relationship between pitchers’salary and new record (WHIP,FIP). As a result of the analysis, Wins are giving the highest impact of salary. This means that the annual salary of the pitcher has been determined by an index that was not objective. Conclusion of this paper is that it's necessary the determination of salary pitcher is based on controllable record.
