초록/요약
본 연구에서는 부모의 역기능적 양육태도, 초기 부적응 도식, 불안정 성인애착, 대인관계 유능성, 그리고 불안의 관련성에 대해 알아보고자 하였다. 구체적으로 과보호, 과잉기대, 밀착통제로 정의한 부모의 역기능적 양육태도가 관계형성, 권리주장, 타인배려, 갈등관리로 정의한 대인관계유능성과 상태 불안에 영향을 미치는 과정을 알아보고자 하였다. 그리고 이 과정에 초기 부모-자녀관계 경험에서 형성될 수 있는 광범위하고 만연화 된 자기 패배적인 주제의 사고와 감정, 그리고 행동 패턴인 초기 부적응 도식과 자기와 타인, 그리고 친밀한 대인관계에 대한 내적표상이자 대처양식을 주도하는 내적 작동모델인 불안정 성인애착이 매개적 역할을 하는지에 대한 이론적 경로모형을 설정하고 이를 자료를 통해 검증하였다. 서울 지역 일반 성인 남녀 총 455명(만 19~40세)의 자기보고 설문지를 SPSS 18.0을 사용하여 측정 변인들의 기술 통계와 상관계수를 산출하였고 이론적 모형을 검증하고자 AMOS 18.0를 사용하여 구조방정식을 실시하여 분석하였다. 본 연구 결과 첫째, 어머니가 자녀를 과도하게 보호하고 기대하며 통제하는 역기능적 양육태도가 증가할수록 성인 자녀의 대인관계 유능성이 저하되고 불안 수준이 높아졌다. 또한 어머니의 역기능적 양육태도는 초기 부적응 도식과 불안정 성인애착을 완전매개로 불안과 대인관계 유능성에 영향을 주었다. 둘째, 아버지가 자녀를 과도하게 보호하고 기대하며 통제하는 역기능적 양육태도가 증가할수록 성인 자녀의 대인관계 유능성이 저하되고 불안 수준이 높아졌다. 아버지의 역기능적 양육태도 역시 초기부적응도식과 불안정 성인애착을 완전매개로 불안과 대인관계 유능성에 영향을 주었다. 본 연구 결과는 성인 초기의 중요한 발달 과업인 친밀감 형성에 영향을 줄 수 있는 대인관계 유능성을 증진시키고, 불안을 경감시키기 위해서는 과거의 양육경험에서 형성되어 지속적으로 성격과 대인관계에 영향을 미치는 초기 부적응 도식과 불안정 성인애착의 인지적, 정서적 특성에 개입하는 것이 중요하다는 것을 시사한다.

The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of dysfunctional parenting attitude, early maladaptive schemas, insecure adult attachment, adult interpersonal competence, and anxiety. Dysfunctional parenting attitude was defined as overprotection, excessive expectation, and adhesive control. Interpersonal competence was defined as initiation, assertion, caring for others, and conflict management. A survey was given to 493 adults (ages 19~40) in Seoul, of which 455 individuals responded. The SPSS 18.0 was used for correlation analysis and t-test. Also, structural equation modeling analysis was applied, using AMOS 18.0. The main findings are as follows: First, as maternal dysfunctional parenting attitudes increased, interpersonal competence was decreased while anxiety level was increased. Early maladaptive schemas and insecure adult attachment fully mediated the effect of maternal dysfunctional parenting attitude on adult interpersonal competence and anxiety. Second, as paternal dysfunctional parenting attitudes increased, interpersonal competence decreased while anxiety increased. Early maladaptive schemas and insecure adult attachment fully mediated the effect of paternal dysfunctional parenting attitude on adult interpersonal competence and anxiety. These results indicated the importance of counseling intervention targeted at working through the early maladaptive schemas and insecure adult attachment in increasing interpersonal competence and decreasing anxiety.
