초록/요약
한국은 영어교육을 위해 최상의 조건들을 마련하고 있다. 실력향상을 위해 원어민 강사를 고용하고 과학교과 및, 수학교과 등을 영어로 진행하는 수업을 함으로써 학생들의 의사소통 능력을 향상시키기 위해 많은 재정과 노력을 기울이고 있다. 이에 고등학교 체육-영어 통합수업에 대한 학생들의 인식과 수업 현황에 대하여 분석하였으며, 본 연구를 위하여 서울시 소재 170명의 학생들로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 연구 결과로는 통합 교과형의 수업을 참여하는 학생들의 이유는 교과지식에만 치중하는 고등학교 수업이 전부가 아닌 창의적이고 발전적인 사고를 증진하기위한 수업이라고 생각하며 교과간 통합으로 이해하지 못한 부분들을 다양한 시각에서 접근하여 이해하려는 이유가 가장 큰 것으로 나타났다. 하부모들 또한 교과지식의 이해를 돕기 위한 방법과 창의적이고 논리적인 사고력을 키울 수 있기 때문이라고 응답하였다. 학생들이 체육-영어 통합 수업을 참여하면서 몸소 느낀 수업의 문제점들을 살펴보면, 시수 간 공백 기간이 길어 수업의 연속성이 결여된다고 응답하였다. 또한 체육교과와 영어교과의 통합으로 학습자들의 다양한 신체활동 및 부 정확한 지식전달로 주위가 산만해 지는 문제점이 나타났다. 따라서 학생들은 학 학급의 학생 수를 11∼15명으로 소규모 수업을 선호하였고 시수 당 50분으로 현재의 고등학교 시수와 동일한 수업 시간을 선호하는 것으로 나타났다. 학생들이 참여한 바로 체육-영어 통합 수업을 개선하기 위하여 수업시간에 활용 가능한 프로그램과 수업자료의 개발이 시급하다고 답하였다. 또한 학교 및 교육부에서의 재정지원이 필요하다고 응답하였다. 본 연구를 통하여 체육-영어 통합수업에 대한 학생들의 호응도가 높으며, 학생들은 체육-영어 통합수업을 통하여 창의적이고 논리적인 사고력을 키우기 원하는 것을 알 수 있다. 이에 학교 및 교사들은 끊임없는 통합수업의 모형개발을 통해 보다 효과적인 수업이 실현 될 수 있도록 노력해야할 것이다.

Korea is making the best conditions for English education. For improve students' English skills especially in speaking skill, Korea exerting great financial aid and efforts such as hiring a native-speaking instructor, also progressing a Science subject and Math subject using English only in the class for improvements of students' English communication skill. Hence this study analyzed students' recognition and the class present condition of Highschool integrated Physical Education-English class, and for this study, conducted a survey of the 170 students located in Seoul. The study result showed the reasons for the students who are participating in a integrated subject classes are because it's not usual Highschool class only focusing a subject-knowledge, it's for increasing creative and developmental thinking and through the integrated subject provides more understanding the lessons that were hard to understand before by approcing verity of views. The School parents also responded with because it's helping understanding better for a subject-knowledge and raising creative and critical thinking of their children for the reasons. According to the students who personally experienced the problems of integrated Physical Education-English class, responded that such a long gap between each classes hour decreasing the continuous lessons. Also, the students got destracted by many Physical activities and inaccuracy knowledge information due to integrated Physical Education-English class. Thus, the students prefer each integrated classes should have about 11~15 classmates for small size groups and 50 minutes class hour which same as their current Highschool normal class hour. Students participated in the servey responded that more practical programs and development of class materials are very needed for improving integrated Physical Education-English class. Additionally, they answered that they need financial aids from school and the Ministry of Education Conclusion of the study founds the students' desires to increasing creativeness and critical thinking via integrated Physical Education-English class. Thus, schools and a teachers need to continuously study for improve integrated classes system.
