이 글은 톰 라이트와 마커스 보그의 사상에 초점을 둔 예수 부활의 현대적 이해에 관한 논문이다. 세상은 시간이 지날수록 다양하게 변화해 왔다. 예수 부활에 대한 이해 역시 시간의 흐름과 상황에 따라 그 견해를 달리 해왔다. 따라서 우리가 예수에 대한 고전적 이해를 문자 그대로 받아들이거나, 고전적 이해 사실만을 불변의 진리인양 주장해서는 안 된다. 고전적 예수의 모습은 그 당시 사람들의 가치관과 시각이 반영된 이해의 산물이며, 현대에는 현대라는 상황 속에서 그 해석을 달리해야 한다. 본 논문은 이런 맥락에서 예수 부활에 초점을 맞춰 새로운 예수의 모습을 찾아보려 시도한다. 우선 계몽주의의 영향으로 인해 새롭게 예수를 이해하려는 시도를 했던, 근대 역사적 예수 연구 진행을 시기별로 살펴보고, 그 안에 각각 나타난 예수 부활이해를 살펴본다. 그 후 역사적 예수 연구의 흐름 속에서 새로운 예수 보기를 시도하는 톰 라이트와 마커스 보그의 사상을 살펴본다. 두 학자 모두 역사적 예수 연구가들이지만, 라이트는 전통주의적 입장에서 역사적 예수의 모습을 구성해 가며, 보그는 수정주의적인 입장에서 예수의 모습을 재구성하기에 그 견해가 다르다. 이들의 사상을 알아보고, 부활에 대한 견해에 초점을 맞춰 살펴본다. 그 다음으로, 라이트와 보그는 물론, 모든 학자들이 예수를 연구하기 위해 근본적 자료로 삼는 성서에서 부활 이야기들에 대한 전통적인 견해를 살펴본다. 부활 이야기는 마가와 마태와 누가, 요한 그리고 몇몇 바울 서신들에서 나타난다. 그러나 각 복음서와 서신들 역시 저자의 공동체와 상황들에 따라 재구성되어 왔음을 알아본다. 마지막으로 부활 이해의 새로운 가능성을 모색해 볼 것이다. 예수 부활에 대한 관점은 시대의 상황과 요청에 따라 달리 이해되어져 왔으며, 복음서와 서신들 역시 상황에 따라 목적을 가지고 예수 부활을 달리 이해해 왔다. 라이트의 전통주의적 입장과 보그의 수정주의적인 입장 역시 그들의 상황과 환경 속에서 각각의 목적에 따라 이해된 것이다. 지금의 시대는 이들을 넘어서는 새로운 예수 이해를 요청하고 있는데, 이 두 학자의 사상을 아우를 수 있는 새로운 부활의 가능성을 제시한다.

초록/요약

This thesis is concerned with “Contemporary Understanding of the Resurrection of Jesus”, especially focusing on works of N. T. Wright and Marcus J. Borg. The world have been changed diversely. Understanding of the resurrection of jesus depends on both historical circumstances and flows. Therefore, we should not uncritically accept classical understanding of Jesus as fixed nor insist on the interpreting of Jesus as an immortal truth. The classical Jesus has been reflected historically in people’s insights and values. thus we are required to change our interpretation of Jesus according to situations of present-day. This thesis focuses on the resurrection of Jesus in order to find new aspects of Jesus. First of all, under the influence of enlightenment, new movement of interpreting Jesus arose. this is "historical Jesus". In study of historical Jesus, we would consider the thoughts of both N. T. Wright and Marcus J. Borg. they provide us with new insight about Jesus. Both are scholars of historical Jesus, However, one researches on historical Jesus in traditional position and the other carries out a study of historical Jesus in reformist position. thus, they has different positions respectively. we try to understand their thoughts of resurrection of Jesus. Secondly, in addition to Wright and Borg, we should examine traditional viewpoints of the story of resurrection in new testament that all scholars take as fundamental material to study Jesus. Even though, stories of resurrection appear at Mark, Matthew, Luke, John and some of the Pauline Epistles, They are written according to their own situations and purposes through restructuring process. To sum up, I would like to seek for a new perspective of the resurrection. Viewpoint of the resurrection of Jesus resorts to changing times and circumstances. the Gospel and the Epistles have been interpreted differently depending on their own purposes and backgrounds as well. Both side, Wright in traditional position and Borg in reformist position, are directly connected with their own conditions. These days, people need new understanding about Jesus. Therefore, I would like to propose a possible vision through the thoughts of both sides.
