본 연구는 성역할 정체감과 내외통제 귀인에 따르는 우울 수준의 차이를 알아보기 위해 실시된 연구이다. 연구 대상은 본교 대학생 269명을 대상으로 성역할 정체감 척도, 내외통제 귀인 척도, 우울 척도가 포함된 설문지를 돌려 조사를 실시하였다.
먼저 성별과 성역할정체감, 우울의 관계를 검증하였다. 검증 결과 성별과 우울의 관계에서 여자가 남자보다 우울 점수가 유의미하게 높았다. 성역할 정체감과 우울의 관계에 있어서도 남성형이나 양성형 정체감 유형이 여성형이나 미분화형보다 우울 수준이 유의미하게 낮았다.
내외통제 귀인과 우울과의 관계에서는 내부통제를 할 때가 외부통제를 할 때보다 우울 수준이 낮았다. 성역할 정체감과 내외통제 귀인의 관계에서는 남성형, 양성형 정체감 집단이 여성형, 미분화형보다 내부통제 점수가 더 높았다.
성역할 정체감과 내외통제 귀인, 우울의 관계에서는 남성형, 양성형이 자신의 긍정적 내적 상태에 대하여 내부귀인을 했을 때는 우울 수준이 낮았으나, 여성형, 미분화형이 자신의 내적 갈등 상태에 대하여 내부귀인을 했을 때는 우울 수준이 예상과 달리 높게 나오지 않았다.

This study was conducted in order to know the differences of depression according to gender role identity and internal-external locus of control.
The subjects were 269 university students, and they were surveyed by gender role identity scale, internal-external locus of control scale, and depression scale.
The main steps of the study was to test the relationship among gender, gender role identity and depression. The results showed that the depression score was higher for woman than man. Among gender role identity types, the woman type showed highest depression score, and lower scores for man/bisexual type than for woman/undivided type.
For the relationship between the internal-external locus of control and depression, the depression score was lower for the internal control than the external control. For the relationship between the gender role identity and internal-external locus of control, the internal control scores of the man/bisexual type were higher than those of woman/undivided type.
For the relationship among gender role identity, internal-external locus of control and depression, the depression scores of man/bisexual type were low in having the internal locus of control to the positive internal state, and woman/undivided type did not show expected high scores of depression in having the internal locus of control to the negative internal state.
