고등학생이 지각한 부모와의 의사소통 유형, 대인신념 및 자기표현의 관계 : The Relationship of Parent-Adolescent Communication Styles, Interpersonal Belief and Self-Assertion

초록/요약
본 연구에서는 부모-자녀간 의사소통 유형, 대인신념 및 자기표현의 관계에 대해 알아보았다. 경기도와 서울에 거주하는 총 8개 고등학교 1, 2학년생 773명을 연구대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 부모-자녀간 의사소통유형에 따른 대인신념과 자기표현 수준의 차이를 알아본 결과 부모-자녀간 의사소통유형이 개방적일 수록 대인신념이 긍정적이고 자기표현 수준이 높았다. 둘째, 대인신념에 따른 자기표현 수준의 차이를 살펴보니, 대인신념이 긍정적일 수록 자기표현 수준이 높았다. 셋째, 부모-자녀간 의사소통유형과 대인신념 중 어떤 변인이 자기표현에 더 영향을 미치는지 살펴본 결과, 대인신념이 어머니의 의사소통 유형보다 더 영향력이 있었고 아버지의 의사소통 유형은 영향력이 미미하였다. 이러한 연구 결과로 보아, 청소년의 대인관계를 향상시키기 위해 부모의 개방적인 의사소통을 위한 교육과 청소년들이 긍정적인 대인신념을 가질 수 있도록 가정과 사회에서 충분한 지지와 공감이 주어져야 하며, 효과적인 대인기술을 습득할 수 있는 자기표현 훈련 등 적절한 상담 프로그램이 필요하다고 여겨진다.

This study examined the relationship of parent-adolescent communication styles, interpersonal belief and self-assertion. For this study, 773 first and second graders of 8 high schools in Gyeonggido and Seoul area completed the questionnaires. The results of this study can be summarized as follows; First, the students who perceived their parents'' communication styles to be open showed more positive interpersonal belief and higher levels of self-assertion. Second, the more positive interpersonal belief the students possessed typically corresponded to the higher level of self-assertion. Finally, comparing parents'' communication styles and interpersonal belief, interpersonal belief proved to be more effective in raising students'' self-assertion than mother''s communication styles. Father''s communication styles had few ascertainable effects. Therefore, based on the information gained from the study, communication training programs for parents are needed. Students should feel enough support and sympathy from their family and societies, enabling them to form positive interpersonal belief and express themselves in more productive, positive and effective ways. Various counseling programs such as assertive training programs are also required for the successful development of the interpersonal relations among students and their peers.
