Amphidinolide O 와 P는 오키나와의 해안에 서식하는 편형동물인, Amphiscolops sp. 에 공생하는 Amphidinium 의 dinoflagate로부터 추출되어진 것이다. 이 물질은 공통적으로 테트라하이드로 피란 고리, 에폭사이드와 exo위치에 메틸렌기를 포함하고 있는 macrolide이다. 합성하기 위해서 구조를 C1-C9와 C8-C17의 두 부분으로 나누었다. C1-C9는 Evans 알돌 반응을 통해 합성하였고, C8-C17은 anti 알돌반응과 Cross Metathesis를 통해서 합성하였다

Amphidinolide O and P are extracts of marine dinoflagellates of the genus Amphidinium,which are symbionts of Okinawan marine flatworms,Amphiscolops sp.Amphidinolide O and P are macrolide possessing a tetrahydropyran ring,an epoxide and exo-methylene groups.They were divided into two fragments,C1-C9 and C8-C17. The C1-C9 fragment was synthesized via Evans aldol reaction,and the C8-C17 fragment was synthesized through anti aldol reaction and cross metathesis.
