본 연구는 현대 사회가 직면한 심각한 생태적 위기와 인간과 자연 간의 관계에 대한 근본적 성찰의 필요성에 주목하여, 칼 라너의 그리스도론을 생태 신학적 관점에서 재해석한다. 특히 라너의 하느님의 자기-증여 개념을 중심으로, 창조와 육화 사건이 창조 세계 전체의 상호연결성과 내재적 가치를 어떻게 신학적으로 정초할 수 있는지를 탐구한다. 이를 위해 문헌 분석, 비교신학적 접근, 초월적 방법론을 활용하여, 라너의 신학과 교황 프란치스코의 회칙 『찬미받으소서』에 나타난 통합 생태론의 연결 가능성을 모색한다. 본 연구는 예수 그리스도의 죽음과 부활이 하느님과 창조물 간의 관계를 회복하는 결정적 순간임을 밝히며, 이를 통해 창조 세계의 모든 존재가 하느님의 구원 계획에 참여할 수 있는 가능성을 제시한다. 또한, 라너 신학의 범우주적 통찰을 바탕으로, 인간중심주의를 넘어 모든 창조물이 본질적으로 존중받아야 할 존재임을 강조한다. 이러한 신학적 이해는 삼위일체적 코이노니아를 기반으로, 생명, 사랑, 평등이라는 창조 세계의 상호연결성을 구현하며, 생태적 책임과 연대 의식을 재조명한다. 본 연구는 라너 신학의 생태 신학적 가능성을 제시함으로써, 현대 생태 위기에 직면한 교회의 신학적 성찰과 실천에 기여하고자 한다. 특히, ‘생태적 자기 비움’과 ‘코이노니아적 생태 윤리’라는 새로운 실천적 패러다임을 제안하며, 창조 세계 전체를 포괄하는 통합적 구원 관점으로 나아갈 신학적 길을 모색한다.

This study addresses the urgent ecological crises of contemporary society and emphasizes the need for a fundamental theological reflection on the relationship between humanity and nature. By reinterpreting Karl Rahner’s Christology from an ecological theological perspective, it focuses on Rahner’s concept of God’s self-communication as a foundation for understanding the interconnectedness and intrinsic value of creation. Utilizing methodologies such as literature analysis, comparative theology, and transcendental approaches, the research integrates Rahner’s thought with Pope Francis’s encyclical Laudato Si’, particularly its vision of integral ecology. The study highlights the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ as the pivotal moment that restores the relationship between God and creation, thereby enabling all beings to participate in God’s salvific plan. It challenges anthropocentrism by affirming the inherent dignity and worth of all creation, drawing on Rahner’s universal theological insights to emphasize the interconnectedness of life within Trinitarian koinonia. This koinonia is expressed through values of life, love, and equality, while reshaping ecological responsibility and solidarity. By exploring the ecological theological potential of Rahner’s thought, this study contributes to the Church’s theological reflection and praxis in addressing ecological crises. Specifically, it proposes practical paradigms such as ‘ecological kenosis’ and ‘koinonia-based ecological ethics’, offering a theological framework for an integrated vision of salvation that encompasses all creation.
