초록 (요약문)
본 연구는 ESG가 글로벌 기업 경쟁력의 핵심 요소로 부상하는 상황에서 AI 분석방법론을 활용하여 국가의 핵심산업의 선정과 우수한 ESG 경영 수준을 평가할 수 있는 산업별 인덱스(index) 개발을 통해 국가 ESG 정책의 최우선 평가, 관리 및 투자 분야를 도출하고자 한다. 이를 위해 산업연관표를 활용하여 제품 및 서비스 특성에 맞춘 새로운 산업분류 체계를 제안하고, 산업별 우수 공시 기업의 주요 키워드를 추출하여 ESG 재무영향도 평가에 널리 활용되는 SASB 중대성지도의 이슈 카테고리에 매핑하였다. 사전학습된 ESG-BERT 모델을 이용해 ESG 도메인 공간에서의 키워드의 의미 관계를 해석하여 자동으로 분류하였다. 더불어, 네트워크 분석의 고유벡터 중심성을 활용하여 국가 경제 내 핵심 산업을 도출하고, 이들 산업의 주요 ESG 이슈를 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 온실가스 배출(GHG Emissions), 에너지 관리(Energy Management), 근로자 건강안전 (Employee Health & Safety), 인권 및 지역사회(Human Rights & Community Relations)가 대한민국의 최우선 ESG 평가관리 과제로 선정되었음을 확인하였다. 본 연구는 텍스트를 활용한 ESG 경영을 위한 글로벌 우수 기업의 벤치마크를 통해 비교가능한 카테고리 가중치로 정량화함으로써 국가 차원의 ESG 정책 수립과 산업 전략 마련에 기여할 수 있는 실질적인 근거를 제공한다.

This study aims to identify the top priority evaluation, management, and investment areas for national ESG policy by leveraging AI analytical methodologies to develop an industry-specific index for evaluating excellent ESG management levels and selecting key industries at the national level in the context of ESG emerging as a core element of global corporate competitiveness. To achieve this, the study proposes a new industrial classification system tailored to the characteristics of products and services using the input-output table, and maps key keywords extracted from top-disclosing companies in each industry to the issue categories in the SASB Materiality Map, which is widely used for assessing the financial impact of ESG. Utilizing a pre-trained ESG-BERT model, the study interprets the semantic relationships of keywords within the ESG domain space for automatic classification. Additionally, by employing eigenvector centrality in network analysis, the study identifies key industries within the national economy and analyzes their major ESG issues. The findings reveal that GHG Emissions, Energy Management, Employee Health & Safety, and Human Rights & Community Relations are the top priority ESG evaluation and management tasks for South Korea. This research provides practical evidence for formulating national ESG policies and developing industrial strategies by benchmarking globally excellent companies' ESG practices and quantifying comparable category weights based on text analysis.
