초록 (요약문)
본 연구에서는 사건연구 방법론을 활용하여 북한 군사도발 관련 위험이 국내 주식시장에 미치는 영향을 초과수익률을 통해 분석하고, 그 영향이 유의적인지검증하였다. 이를 위해 2010 년대와 2020 년대 발생한 군사도발 사례 각 2 건씩을 선정하여 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 북한의 군사도발은 여전히 국내 주식시장에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 관심사건으로 선정한 대부분의 도발 사례에서 북한 군사도발로 인한 누적초과수익률 변화는 통계적으로 유의함을 확인할 수 있었다. 한편, 북한의 군사도발로 인한 초과수익률의 영향은 시간이 지남에 따라 다소 복잡한 양상을 보였는데, 두 가지 종목의 초과수익률 발생 양상 및 수익률의 방향이 반대로 움직일 것이라는 가정도 2010 년대 사건 대비 약화되었다. 이는 2020 년대 이후에는 북한의 군사도발 유형이 전면전의 양상을 띠는 것 보다는 미사일 및 군사위성정찰 발사 등의 형태로 군사도발의 성격이 본질적으로 변화된 사실에 기인한 것으로 보인다.

This study employs event study methodology to analyze and verify the significant impact of North Korean military provocations on the domestic stock market through abnormal returns. The analysis examined two military provocation cases each from the 2010s and 2020s. The findings indicate that North Korean military provocations continue to influence the domestic stock market. In most of the selected cases, the cumulative abnormal returns resulting from North Korean military provocations were statistically significant. The impact of abnormal returns due to North Korean military provocations showed increasingly complex patterns over time. The assumption that two different types of stocks would show opposing patterns in abnormal returns and directional movements has weakened compared to the events of the 2010s. This appears to be attributable to the fundamental change in the nature of North Korean military provocations since the 2020s, shifting from full-scale warfare scenarios to forms such as missile launches and military reconnaissance satellite launches.
