Active noise control technology using a single sensor in 3D open environment

초록

This study proposes an innovative approach for achieving stable noise reduction in open systems by applying a new algorithm to avoid sound amplification due to unexpected noises. Traditionally, active noise control in open systems necessitates the deployment of multiple sensors. However, this research explores the potential for effective noise control using only a single sensor, aiming to simplify the complex sensor arrangement. The new optimization algorithm can be applied for active noise cancellation at a specific target point in open systems. The experimental results in open systems using only one sensor robustly demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed active noise control, emphasizing its adaptability across various applications for noise management in open systems. Furthermore, this study implements a system capable of dynamically adjusting the noise reduction area based on changes in the characteristics of the target point being controlled. This aims to investigate the applicability and scalability of the proposed method in diverse environments and fields. This study provides a fresh perspective on noise control methodologies, addresses practical challenges associated with sensor deployment, and underscores the versatility of this approach across different applications in open systems.
