This paper analyzes and defines the relations and relevancy between ‘feminism’ and ‘페미니즘’ on Twitter with an intersectional feminist lens by focusing on the layers of commonalities and differences which people discover the connections of past and present and affect how social media is used. Text mining methods will display the use of the two proposed keywords on Twitter and their linguistic relations, or dissimilarities, to each other. The research question proposed is: What are the comparisons between the clues that show sentiment in tweets that hold the keywords ‘feminism’ in English and Korean? There are limited studies done questioning the two keywords on social media platforms, thus this essay’s inquiry will stress its significance. Examination of the data reveals that the Twitter keywords are used uniquely in tweets in relation to language and overall are assumed to be used in neutral tones. From an intersectional feminist lens, this study illustrates that Twitter was a platform that allowed users to relate their ideas on feminism.
