Synthesis of NB-ETS-4 with large scale and its CO2 adsorption properties

초록 (요약문)

The two major challenges for CO2-sorbing porous materials are to capture CO2 effectively from the streams of humid ambient air and the industrially generated humid flue gases without the need to remove moisture from them and to release the captured CO2 at low temperatures to save energy and plant capital and operational costs. Here, we report a large-scale synthesis of microporous titanosilicate which shows the highest CO2-capturing capacities from humid flue gases and ambient air, and has a very low CO2 desorption temperature. The moisture resistance of this material is attributed to the different water and CO2 adsorption sites and formation of water stable Ti-monodentate bicarbonate on the titanyl (Ti=O) group in the channel of NB-ETS-4 with flue gas adsorption.
