초록/요약
This study aims to examine the relation between parental psychological control experience perceived in adulthood and perfectionistic self-presentation and to explore the mediating effect of internalized shame and socially prescribed perfectionism. For this purpose, from September 13 to 22, 2019, online survey, consisted of demographic information, parental psychological control, internalized shame, socially prescribed perfectionism, and perfectionistic self-presentation, was completed by adults over 19 years old throughout the nation. The data collected from 327 participants were analyzed by Pearson correlational analysis using SPSS 25.0. And single and dual mediation effect was analyzed using SPSS Macro. In addition, bootstrapping was conducted to verify the significance of the mediation effect. Findings are summarized as follows. First, internalized shame and socially prescribed perfectionism respectively showed mediating effect on the relation of parental psychological control experience of perceived in adulthood and perfectionistic self-presentation. Second, In the relationship between the parental psychological control and the perfectionistic self-presentation, the mediating effect was significant and completely mediated in both the path that internalized shame precedes socially prescribed perfectionism and that socially prescribed perfectionism precedes internalized shame. Third, in the verification of sequential mediated effects with different order of the two mediation variables, it showed that shame, the emotional variable in the relationship between parental psychological control and perfectionistic self-presentation, could be the main variable leading to cognitive variable. Based on these findings, practical implications and suggestions for further studies were discussed.

본 연구는 성인기에 지각한 부모의 심리적 통제 경험이 완벽주의적 자기제시를 예측함에 있어 내면화된 수치심과 사회부과적 완벽주의가 어떤 역할을 하는지 규명하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 국내에 거주하는 만 19세 이상 성인남녀를 대상으로 인구학적 변인과 부모의 심리적 통제, 내면화된 수치심, 사회부과적 완벽주의, 완벽주의적 자기제시 4가지 척도로 구성된 온라인 설문을 실시하였고, 최종적으로 327부의 자료를 SPSS 25.0과 SPSS PROCESS Macro를 사용하여 매개효과를 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 성인기에 지각한 부모의 심리적 통제 경험과 완벽주의적 자기제시의 관계에서 내면화된 수치심과 사회부과적 완벽주의는 각각 매개역할을 하는 것으로 확인하였다. 둘째, 부모의 심리적 통제와 완벽주의적 자기제시의 관계에서 내면화된 수치심이 사회부과적 완벽주의를 선행하는 경로와 사회부과적 완벽주의가 내면화된 수치심을 선행하는 경로 모두 매개효과가 유의하였고, 완전매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 두 매개 변인의 순서를 달리한 순차적 매개효과 검증에서 볼 때, 부모의 심리적 통제와 완벽주의적 자기제시간의 관계에서 정서적 변인인 수치심이 인지적 변인을 선행하는 주요한 변인이 될 수 있음을 확인하였다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 본 연구의 임상적 함의와 함께 제한점 및 후속연구 방향을 논의하였다.
