Abstract
Doxorubicin has been widely used as anticancer agent for effective cancer treatment. However, it is one of the drugs that causes heart failure through cytotoxicity and cardiac toxicity by fatal problem such as destruction of calcium homeostasis and increased oxidative stress. According to these problem, investigation of drug cytotoxicity is important issue for effective cancer treatment. From this point of view, in this study, the bioactuator composed of cell (cardiac muscle cell), kapton, gold (Au) and molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) is fabricated to investigate the cytotoxicity of doxorubicin on the cardiac muscle cell based platform. The result indicates that the movement of the fabricated bioactuator decreased with the treatment of doxorubicin. This fabricated cell/kapton/Au/MoS2 bioactuator can be applied to develop the efficient disease model platform for drug cytotoxicity investigation.
