초록/요약
Studies on the biological production of 2,3-Butanediol (2,3-BDO), a C4 platform chemical, are active, but the cost of separating and purifying the produced 2,3-BDO is substantial. In this study, 2,3-BDO is converted into hydrophobic terpenoids using recombinant pseudomonas putida. The production of mevalonate when 2,3-BDO was used as a substrate was about 8 times higher than When glucose and glycerol was used as a substrate under the same conditions. The lower the aeration, the higher the yield of mevalonate in the same culture condition except the aeration. The maximum mevalonate production on the shaking flask scale was about 2.21 g/L in this study, considering the effects of aeration and substrate.
