초록/요약
This paper reports the ECG measurement clothes by using carbon paste for reduced motion artifacts. ECG measurement is progressed by wearing ECG measurement clothes after applying proposed carbon paste to the chest. Unlike previous ECG measurement electrode, proposed carbon paste maintains conformal contact with the skin because of the paste-like conductive material which can be directly applied to the skin and gets dried. Contact impedance of carbon paste with diameter of 20 mm is 42 % lower than that of Ag/AgCl electrode in average through whole frequency range from 0.1 to 1000Hz. In the case of the carbon paste(dia. 20 mm), motion artifacts of ECG are 14 mV in walking state and 28 mV in running state. But in the case of the commercial Ag/AgCl electrode, motion artifacts of ECG are 870 mV in walking state and 1.21 V in running state. In the walking state, motion artifacts of the carbon paste are measured 43 times smaller than that of the Ag/AgCl electrode. In the running state, motion artifacts of the carbon paste are measured 62 times smaller than that of the Ag/AgCl electrode. Motion artifacts of the carbon paste are five times smaller in the walking state and three times smaller in the running state than 93 mV, which is the average amplitude of the relatively small P waves in the ECG.
