Abstract
Morphology of system is one of the essential characteristic for determining their performance. In this paper, the system performances are evaluated according to applied fields and effects of morphology on the performance is analyzed. When elastic, temperature, or electromagnetic field is applied, the mechanical, thermal, or optical properties of system are evaluated. Because those systems are basically made of complex morphologies and exposed to multiple mechanisms simultaneously, an understanding of exact mechanisms between morphology and system performance is insufficient. Possibilities of system performance change by morphology changes are experimentally proved. However, to guide the system performance design, the understanding of morphology effects is essential. In this research, we have understood the mechanisms of morphology changes in case of structures with a controllable mechanical anisotropy and solar energy induced disinfection micro fluidic device. In results, we suggest the design guide based on the exact understanding of morphologies.
