초록/요약
인류의 건강 증진을 위해서는, 국내 의약품 업계의 미래는 어둡지만은 않다. 특히, 제약 대기업 들은 기존의 화학 의약품 시장과 더불어 이미 바이오 의약품 산업에도 뛰어 들었다. 그러나 의약품과 관련한 국내 벤처의 경우 이렇다 할 성과를 보이고 있지 않는 것이 현실이다. 국내 의약품 관련 벤처기업의 타 기업과의 협력관계 즉, alliance 결정 요인에 대한 연구는 미미한 상황에 있다. 본 연구는 기존 벤처 기업에 대한 연구들을 바탕으로 하여, 의약품 관련 벤처가 타 기업과의 alliance를 성공적으로 이끌어 낼 수 있는 결정 요인이 무엇인가에 대한 연구로, 특히 alliance 결정요인 중에서 특허적 관점에서의 중요도를 고려하여 연구모형과 연구가설을 설정하였다. 본 연구를 위한 인터뷰는 현재 제약 업계에 종사하고 있는 경력 10년 이상인 사람들만을 대상으로 하여, 미리 작성된 인터뷰지의 질문 내용을 바탕으로 전화 및 이메일을 통한 focused interview 형태로 실시하였다. 응답자 5명의 인터뷰 내용을 분석에 이용하였다. 특허 분석은 국내 바이오 벤처 기업을 선정하여, 이들의 특허를 검색하고, 대상 벤처 기업의 alliance 현황 파악을 통해 alliance 결정 요인으로써 특허에 대해 연구를 진행하였다. 결론적으로 바이오 벤처 기업의 alliance 결정요인으로써 벤처 기업이 보유한 특허의 수가 alliance에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것을 확인하였다. 따라서, 바이오 벤처 기업 담당자 들은 alliance의 결정 요인으로써 특허의 보유수에 대해 고려해야 할 것이다. 하지만 본 연구는, 제약 기업의 특허 담당자를 대상으로만 인터뷰가 이루어 졌고, 국내 모든 바이오 벤처기업에 대한 특허분석이 이루어지지 않은 것에 대해서는 한계점을 가진다. 이에 본 연구의 한계점을 보완한 바이오 벤처기업의 alliance 결정요인으로써 특허에 대한 후속 연구가 이어지길 기대한다.

When it comes to promotion of human health, the future of the domestic pharmaceutical industry is not murky. In particular, pharmaceutical conglomerates have already entered into the bio-drug industry, let alone existing chemical drug market. However, the reality is that most of domestic venture companies related to pharmaceutical supplies haven't achieved tangible results. In addition, few studies have been conducted to investigate determinants of alliance, that is the partnership of domestic drug-related venture companies with other businesses. In this regard, this study seeks to investigate determinants that can lead to a successful alliance of existing drug-related ventures with other businesses based on the findings of previous studies relevant to venture companies. In particular, the research models and hypotheses were set with focus on a patent among determinants of the alliance in consideration of its importance. Towards this end, an interview was conducted with people who have more than 10 years of experience and are currently working in the pharmaceutical industry in the form of focused interview via telephone and e-mails based on pre-written questions. The interviews from five respondents were used for analysis. For patent analysis, a study on the patent as a determinant of alliance was carried out though identification of the experiences of alliance of domestic bio-venture companies selected as the primary target. After selecting primary target of bio-venture, patents search and analysis were conducted. In conclusion, it was confirmed that the number of patents owned by the bio-venture companies has a positive impact on the alliance as a determinant of the alliance. Therefore, the representatives of the bio-venture companies need to consider the number of patents as a determinant of the alliance. However, this study has its limitation in that only the people in charge of the patent of the pharmaceutical industry were interviewed, and patent analysis of all bio-venture companies in Korea has not been performed. For future work, it is expected that a follow-up study that complements the limitation of this study will be conducted.
