기술혁신활동에서 기업의 네트워크 유형이 기업성과에 미치는 영향에 대한 연구- 산학 협력 활동을 중심으로

초록/요약
본 연구는 과학정책기술연구원(STEPI)이 2007년부터 2009년동안 타기관 및 타기업과 기술혁신활동을 공동으로 수행한 2010년 기술혁신 홛동 조사표를 바탕으로 제조업체 1004개를 대상으로 기술혁신활동의 조사결과를 분석하였다. 기술혁신활동을 공동으로 수행한 기업 중 기업유형에 따른 네트워크의 유형별 혁신기여도를 독립변수로 하고 기업성과(특허출원성향 및 매출액)를 종속변수로 하여 이들간의 관계를 밝힘으로써 현재 연구가 활발이 진행되고 있는 개방형 기술혁신의 효과를 탐색하고자 하였다. 연구결과는 첫째, 대기업의 경우 그룹계열사의 혁신기여도와 매출액에서는 유의한 결과를 확인하였지만, 특허출원경향에서는 유의함을 찾지 못하였다. 대기업의 경우 그룹계열사의 제품 및 공정 혁신기여도가 클수록 매출액이 커지는 경향을 확인하였다. 둘째, 대기업의 경우 경쟁사의 혁신기여도와 매출액에서는 유의한 결과 확인하였지만, 특허출원경향에서는 유의함을 찾지 못하였다. 중기업의 경우 경쟁사의 혁신기여도 중 공정혁신기여도만이 매출액에 유의한 결과를 끼쳤고, 제품혁신기여도와 매출액에서는 유의한 결과를 확인하지 못하였고, 특허출원경향에서는 혁신기여도와의 관련을 찾지 못하였다. 대기업의 경우 경쟁사의 혁신기여도가 클수록 매출액을 감소시키는 경향을 보였고, 중기업의 경우 공정 혁신 활동에서만 경쟁사의 혁신기여도가 클수록 매출을 감소시키는 경향을 알 수 있었다. 셋째, 중기업의 경우 대학의 혁신 기여도와 특허 출원 경향 사이에서는 공정혁신활동에서는 유의한 결과 확인하였지만, 제품혁신활동에서는 유의한 결과를 찾지 못하였고, 매출액의 경우에도 대학의 혁신 기여도와의 유의성을 찾지 못하였다. 중기업이 공정혁신활동을 대학과 할 경우 대학의 혁신기여도가 클수록 특허 출원 경향이 높은 것을 확인하였다. 넷째, 중기업의 경우 국립연구소의 혁신 기여도와 특허 출원 경향 사이에서는 제품혁신활동에서는 유의한 결과 확인하였지만, 공정혁신활동에서는 유의한 결과를 찾지 못하였고, 매출액의 경우에도 대학의 혁신 기여도와의 유의성을 찾지 못하였다.

This study empirically investigates applicable possibility of open technology innovation with which Industry-Academy Cooperation is related, by figuring out the relationship between firms' Cooperation networks and innovation outputs such as the patents and the sales. Empirical methodology was employed as multiple regression analysis and logit regression to explain firms' Cooperation networks and the data set includes more than 1004 firms in the manufacturing sectors. First, empirical findings showed that the sales of large-sized businesses are inclined to be positive to the both product and process cooperation of the subsidiary. Second, empirical findings showed that the sales of large-sized businesses are inclined to be negative to the both product and process cooperation of the rival. On the other hand, empirical findings showed that the sales of medium-sized businesses are inclined to be negative to the only process cooperation of the rival. Third, empirical findings showed the patents of medium-sized businesses are inclined to be positive to both product and process cooperation of university. Fourth, empirical findings showed the patents of medium-sized businesses are inclined to be positive to the both product and process cooperation of government-supported research institute.
