초록/요약
충돌 위험을 미리 감지해 운전자에게 위험을 경고하는 forward collision warning 시스템이 최근에 활발히 연구되고 있다. 지금까지 연구된 forward collision warning시스템은 운전자 성향에 상관없이 사전에 정한 로직에 따라 경보를 준다. 하지만 운전자의 성향이 상이하기 때문에 모든 운전자에게 같은 경보를 주는 것은 합당하지 않다. 본 연구에서는 경보 시점을 운전자마다 다르게 주기 위해 시험장 시험의 데이터를 이용하여 운전자의 성향을 구분하는 세 개의 메트릭을 개발하였다. 이 메트릭은 예측 Time Headway, 선행차량 감가속도 대비 요구되는 감가속도, 그리고 선행차량 감가속도 대비 요구되는 가속도의 크기이다. 브레이킹의 경우와 스티어링의 경우에 대해 이 메트릭들을 사용하여 운전자 성향을 3군집으로 나누었다. 또한, 그 메트릭을 이용하여 일반 도로에서도 운전자 성향을 분류할 수 있음을 확인하여 메트릭을 검증하였다.

Forward collision warning systems, which warn danger to drivers after sensing the possibility of crash in advance, have been actively studied recently. The existing systems give a warning without considering the driver’s driving propensity. Since all the drivers have different driving propensity, however, it is not reasonable to make the same warning to every driver. In this study, to give a warning to each driver considering his/her driving propensity, three metrics classifying driver’s driving propensity were developed by using the driving data on a testing ground. These three metrics are the predicted time headway, the required deceleration divided by the deceleration of the leading vehicle, and the resultant acceleration divided by the deceleration of the leading vehicle. Driving propensity was divided into three groups by using the proposed metrics for braking and steering cases. In addition, these metrics were verified by making sure that braking propensity could be classified on public roads as well.
