니켈 화합물을 이용한 이산화탄소의 전기화학적 전환

Electrocatalytic Conversion of Carbon Dioxide by Ni Complexes

다양한 니켈 화합물을 합성하여 이산화탄소 전환의 전기화학적 촉매활성을 확인하였다. [Ni(cyclam)]-polyallylamine (PALA)은 이산화탄소의 전환 과전압을 낮추어 -0.78 V vs. Ag/AgCl에서 일산화탄소로의 전환이 가능했고, 90% 이상의 전류효율을 보여주었다. [NiL1(bpy)(py)]-PALA (L1=4-(1-methyl-4-pyridinium iodide))은 -0.85 V에서 70~80 %, [N-{propylviologen-2-iminomethyl}pyridyl-aqua-nikel(II)(cyclam)] perchlorate는 -1.0 V에서 60~70 %, bis[(N,N'-bis{((pyridine-4-yl)methylene)ethane-1,2-diimino}-(4-(1-methyl-4-pyridinium-iodide)pyridyl)-2,2'-bipyridyl-nikel(II)] perchlorate는 -0.85 V에서 50~60%의 전류효율로 일산화탄소로 전환시킬 수 있었다. Bis[(N,N'-bis{((pyridine-2-yl)methylene)ethane-1,2-diimino}-2,2‘-bipyridyl-nikel(II)] perchlorate의 경우에는 50~60 %의 전류효율로 일산화탄 소로 전환시킬 뿐 아니라 약 6 %의 전류효율로 포름산도 생성시킴을 확인하였다.

In this study, we investigated the electrocatalytic activities of CO2 conversion by using synthesized various Nickel complexes. The conversion of CO2 to CO by [Ni(cyclam)] -polyallylamine (PALA) with more than 90 % occurred with considerably lower voltages which is -0.78 V vs. Ag/AgCl. The current efficiency of CO2 to CO was at -0.85 V with current efficiency of 70~80 % for NiL1(bpy)(py)]-PALA (L1=4-(1-methyl-4-pyridinium-iodide)), at -1.0 V with current efficiency of 60~70 % for [N-{propylviologen-2- iminomethyl}pyridyl-aqua-nikel(II)(cyclam)] perclorate at -0.85 V with current efficiency of 50~60 % for bis[(N,N'-bis{((pyridine-4-yl)methylene)ethane-1,2-diimino}-(4-(1-methyl-4-pyridinium-iodide)pyridyl)-2,2'-bipyridyl-nikel(II)]. Bis[(N,N'-bis{((pyridine-2-yl)methylene)ethane-1,2-diimino}-2,2‘-bipyridyl-nikel(II)] perchlorate showed the conversion of CO2 to CO with 50~60 % in addition to formate with 6 %.
