생체전기저항법에 대한 브로카지수 및 체질량지수의 상관분석 : The Correlation between Broca with BMI and BIA

본 연구의 목적은 여러 가지 비만 평가 방법 중 학교나 스포츠센터 등 현장에서 신속하고 간편하게 사용할 수 있는 측정방법으로써 생체전기저항법(BIA)과 브로카지수(Broca) 및 체질량지수(BMI)의 측정값이 국내 남녀 성인들의 비만 판정을 나타내는데 있어 상관관계를 비교 분석하는데 있다.
연구의 대상자는 부천시 오정구내 T 스포츠센터와 서울시 송파구내 R 스포츠센터를 이용하는 성인 중에서 신체 건강한 20세 이상의 성인 남성 150명, 성인 여성 150명 총 300명을 선정을 하였고 자료처리를 위해 SPSS for Windows 10.0 통계 프로그램을 사용하였으며 산술평균을 이용하여 기초의학 검사와 기초체격검사 결과의 평균(mean)과 표준편차(S.D.)를 분석하였고, Pearson의 상관계수를 이용하여 생체 전기 저항법(BIA)에 대한 브로카지수(Broca) 및 체질량 지수(BMI)와의 상관관계를 분석 하였으며 이를 통해 얻어진 연구결과 다음과 같다.
첫째, 남자의 경우 브로카지수(Broca)의 평균값은 기준값과 비교 했을시 비만으로 나왔으며, 체질량지수(BMI)도 거의 과체중에 가까운 결과를 나타냈다. 생체전기저항법을(BIA)을 이용한 체지방율 검사에서도 비만의 결과를 나타났다.
여자의 경우 브로카지수(Broca)의 평균값은 기준값과 비교 했을시 비만으로 나왔으며, 체질량지수(BMI)도 거의 과체중에 가까운 결과를 나타냈다. 생체전기저항법을(BIA)을 이용한 체지방율 검사에서도 비만의 결과를 나타났다.
둘째, 연구대상자들의 생체전기저항법을(BIA) 이용한 체지방율과 브로카지수(Broca), 체질량지수(BMI)의 상관성 검사 결과는 다음과 같다.
남자의 경우 유의한 차이가 나타났으며(p<.001), 브로카지수가 체질량지수 보다 생체전기저항법을(BIA) 이용한 체지방율 측정값과의 상관성이 더 높은 것으로 나타났다.
여자의 경우 유의한 차이가 나타났으며(p<.001), 브로카지수가 체질량지수 보다 생체전기저항법을(BIA) 이용한 체지방율 측정값과의 상관성이 더 높은 것으로 나타났다.
따라서, 남녀 모두 체지방율과 브로카지수의 상관관계가 체지방율과 체질량지수의 상관관계보다 상관성이 더 높은 것으로 나타났다.

This study is to investigate a simpler, easier method for measuring body fat. On this study, the correlation BIA, Broca and BMI will analyze and compare to estimate adult obesity.
The study investigated each 150 healthy man and women, who aged over 20, exercising at ‘T’ sports center, O-Jeong, Bucheon and at ‘R’ sports center, Songpa-Gu , Seoul. SPSS for Windows 10.0 statistic program is used for concluding this data process. By using the arithmetic method, the mean and S.D of a basic medical science and physical strength analyzed. By using a coefficient of correlation by Pearson, the correlation between the bioelectric of Broca and BMI analyzed. Results are as follows.
First, for man, compared to the mean value of Broca with average value, More men are considered obese and their BMI also shows almost overweight. The examination of percentage body fat with BIA reported the same result.
For woman, compared the mean value of Broca to average value, most women are overweight. For BMI, the result made no differences. Body fat examination with BIA made the same results as well.
Second, here is the result of correlation between body fat percentage with BIA and Broca, BMI.
For man, there is remarkable difference (p<.001), Broca has a higher correlation with body fat estimated by BIA than BMI.
For woman, there is also remarkable difference (p<.001). The correlation between Broca with BIA is stronger than that with BMI.
To conclude, both men and women, the correlation between Body fat examination and Broca is much higher than relation between Body fat percentage and BMI.
