본 논문 에서는 CVAD (Comprehensive VAD) 알고리즘을 응용하여 기존 코덱에 2nd VAD 알고리즘을 Hybrid 하는 방식으로 성능개선 및 분석도구로 활용하는 기법에 대해 제안하고 실험을 통해 효용성을 입증해 보았다.
제안한 기법은 Silence Suppression 기법의 성능 향상을 위해 VAD 알고리즘을 개선하는 과정을 손쉽게 해보려는 의도로 제안하고 검증하게 되었다.
실험 결과 제안한 기법은 간단한 VAD 알고리즘으로 활용할 수 있고 Trace 파일로 추출된 파라미터 값을 이용하여 분석용 도구로 이용할 수 있음을 보였다.
그러나, 단순한 원리로 처리되므로 VAD 알고리즘을 개선하는 용도에는 한계가 있어, VAD 알고리즘 분석용 도구로 이용하여 간단히 시뮬레이션 해보는 용도에 적합하다고 판단된다.

In this thesis, I propose a method that applies CVAD (Comprehensive VAD) to a hybrid of CODEC and 2nd VAD algorithm for the improvement of performance and as an analysis tool, and then have proved the effect by a proposal test.
The proposed method is for the improvement of performance of Silence Suppression and it has been proved in order to make the process of improvement of the VAD algorithms easily.
As a result of the proposed method, it can be used as a simple VAD algorithm and an analysis tool using the extracted parameters in the Trace files.
However, there are limitations of the method to use for the improvement of the VAD algorithms due to being settled with a simple principle. Therefore, it can be appropriate for an analysis tool as well as simple simulation of the VAD algorithms.
