초록/요약
대부분의 작은 규모의 회사들은 자체적인 소프트웨어 개발 프로세스를 가지고 있지 않다. 그나마 일부 보유하고 있는 소프트웨어 개발 프로세스들은 대규모 프로젝트에 맞춰져 있어 소규모 프로젝트에 적용하기는 너무 무거운 것이 사실이다. 이러한 상황에서 최근에는 "고객에게 최고의 가치를 가장 빨리" 전달하도록 하는 경량 방법론인 애자일 방법론 등이 급부상하고 있다. 애자일 방법론 중의 하나인 XP(eXtreme Programming) 방법론은 소규모 프로젝트를 겨냥해 만들어지긴 했으나, 전통적인 개발 프로세스에 익숙해져 있는 환경에서 당장 그대로 적용하기에는 어려움이 있다. 이에 XP에서 제안하는 일부 프로그래밍 기법을 전통적인 개발 프로세스에 적용하여 소규모 조직이나 프로젝트에 맞는 프로젝트 관리 프로세스를 제시 하고자 한다.

Generally, most of the small companies do not have their own software development processes. Moreover, even though small companies have software development processes, they are difficult to be applied to small projects since they are mainly focused on large scaled projects. In this challenging situation, agile methodology, a lightweight methodology is rapidly drawing attention to meet customer''s demanding requirements "fast delivery of high value". XP(eXtreme Programming) is one of the agile methodologies designed for small scaled projects, but it is hard to employ the methodology as it is because the current environment is familiar with a traditional development process. Therefore, an ideal project management process where some programming techniques of XP are applied to a traditional development process shall be suggested for small organizations or projects.
