사목상담과 내적치유를 통한 사례연구 : Case Study through Pastoral counseling and Inner Spiritual Healing

초록/요약
오늘날 자본주의 사회에서의 물질숭배와 이기주의적 사고는 사람들 사이의 극도의 경쟁을 불러왔다. 그리고 이러한 사회 속에서 정신적으로 혼돈을 겪는 많은 이들이 자신들에게 바른 삶을 제시해 줄 수 있는 무엇인가를 목마르게 찾고 있는 것이 현실이다. 이에 사회복지적으로 사람들의 영적인 문제를 다뤄주며 혼돈상태에 있는 가치관의 확립과 인간의 존엄성을 회복시켜 줄 필요성이 대두되는 것이다. 본 연구는 이러한 현대인의 갈망을 근본부터 치유해 줄 수 있는 상담의 방법으로 사목상담과 내적치유에 대하여 알리고자 하였으며 이에 대한 이론을 정립하고자 한 것이다. 본 연구의 방법으로는 사목상담과 내적치유에 대한 문헌을 고찰하는 방법을 사용하였다. 연구의 주요 이론을 요약하면 다음과 같다. 크게는 사목상담과 내적치유의 이해에 대한 서술이라고 할 수 있다. 먼저 사목상담이 무엇인가를 알기 위해서는 일반상담의 기본적 이해에 대한 서술이 필요했다. 그 다음으로 사목상담의 이해로 개념과 정의를 살펴보고 역사적 배경을 통해 어떻게 형성되어 왔는가와 일반상담과의 차이점에 대해서 설명함으로서 확연히 사목상담에 대해서 알 수 있도록 하였다. 즉 일반상담은 현상학적이며 심리적 차원에서 사람의 문제를 접근하지만 사목상담은 사람이 가지고 있는 모든 문제는 하느님과 연관되어 있다고 보는 것이다. 또한 사목상담의 특징에 대해서 서술하였는데, 대부분의 내담자의 문제해결에 있어 무엇보다 하느님과의 관계개선이 선행되어야 한다는 것이다. 즉 하느님은 사람을 사랑으로 창조하셨고 누구나 행복하기를 바라시므로 삶에서 문제가 생겼다면 그 원인을 하느님 안에서 바라볼 필요가 있다는 것이다. 이는 깊은 성찰을 요구하는 것으로 문제를 가장 근원에서부터 보는 것이다. 그리고 사목상담의 특수성을 서술하였는데 사목상담이 인간의 영혼의 구원문제를 고려한다는 것이다. 다음으로는 내적치유에 대해서 서술하였다. 먼저 내적치유의 개념에 대해서 서술하였고 내적인 상처가 주는 영향에 대해서 서술하였으며 다음으로는 내적치유가 어떻게 이루어지는가에 대해서 서술하였다. 그리고 내적치유를 도와 줄 수 있는 전통적인 종교적 자원에 대해서 언급함으로써 실제로 도움이 될 수 있도록 하였다. 또한 사목상담과 내적치유가 함께 실천되었던 사례를 제시하였다. 그것은 실제 사례를 다루어줌으로써 사목상담과 내적치유가 어떻게 진행되는가를 이해시키고자 하는 의도였다. 본 연구에서 제시하고 있는 사례는 심각하게 이혼을 고려하고 있었던 부부의 예이다. 그러나 이러한 부부상담 이외에도 현대인의 많은 문제들이 이와 같은 상담을 통해 문제의 근본부터 해결의 도움이 될 수 있을 것이다. 그리고 끝으로 지금까지 서술한 것을 결론을 통해 종합하고 제언으로써 많은 현대의 결혼이 이혼으로 이어지고 있는 것을 볼 때, 예비부부시절에 이러한 사목상담과 내적치유를 통해 마음의 상처들을 회복한다면 훨씬 행복한 결혼생활로 이어질 수 있을 것이라는 것을 서술하였다. 그리고 사회복지적 함의로써 사회복지에 기독교적 영성이 첨가 될 때 우선 사회복지사 스스로도 직업에서 오는 피로를 훨씬 줄일 수 있으며 아울러 정체성 확립에 크게 도움이 될 수 있는 것이다. 또한 사회복지의 질을 한 차원 높일 수 있고 그리고 사회복지사가 만나는 많은 사람들을 인간성 회복이라는 근본적 접근으로 도움을 줄 수 있다는 것이다. 즉 사회복지에 영성적인 부분이 첨가될 때 지금보다 훨씬 풍성한 결실을 맺을 수 있다는 것이다.

The slave of materialism and egoism in today’s capitalistic society has invoked a fierce competition among people. As a result, the reality is that many people suffering from spiritual chaos in this capitalistic society long for something that can bring them a righteous life. Necessity has therefore surfaced to restore established sense of values and dignity of man embroiled in chaotic state by addressing people’s spiritual problems in a social-welfare manner. The present thesis has intended to reveal the pastoral care and inner spiritual healing known as a counseling method for curing the earnest desire of the moderns from the very root thereof, and to define a theory thereto. The method for the above-mentioned research includes a study on literature with regard to the pastoral counseling and inner spiritual healing, the principal theory of which may be summarized as under, with its lion’s share being largely concentrated on the said pastoral counseling and the inner spiritual healing.First of all, delineation was inevitably needed to understand a basic knowledge on general counseling as a first step of grasping the meaning of pastoral counseling. Next, efforts have been made to let the pastoral counseling clearly known by way of observation of concept and definition through understanding thereof, and explanation of historical formation background and a difference between a general counseling and the pastoral counseling. In other words, although the general counseling approaches a man’s problem from the phenomenological and psychological view point, but the pastoral counseling sees that all the human problems are related to the God. Furthermore, delineation has been given on the characteristics of the pastoral counseling, and emphasis has been made that a relation improvement with the God must precede the problem solving of the most interviewees. To be more specific, the God has created the man with love, and if there occurs a problem in life, it is imperative that the reason thereof be sought after from within the God as all human beings want to be happy. This calls for a deep introspection and is a viewpoint of the problem seen from its nearest origin. The special effect by the pastoral counseling has been also explained in consideration of the pastoral counseling that can relieve the human being’s spiritual problems. Next, concept of the inner spiritual healing has been mentioned, influence caused by inner wounds has been delineated, and then elucidation has been given on how the inner spiritual healing is realized. Furthermore, reference has been made to traditional religious resources capable of helping heal the inner spiritual problems, thereby assisting in real terms. Exemplary embodiments have been provided where the pastoral counseling and the inner spiritual healing were simultaneously performed. These embodiments have been intentionally proposed to allow the actual examples to show how the pastoral counseling and the inner spiritual healing method are processed in the real life. The example disclosed in the present thesis concerns a couple who had seriously considered a divorce. In addition to the counseling on the couple, many problems of the moderns may be solved by the similar counseling like the above from the very root thereof. As a comprehensive conclusion and proposition in view of the afore-mentioned delineation, a final emphasis has been given that a much happier marriage life may be lasted if mental wounds are cured by the pastoral counseling and inner spiritual healing method for pre-marital couples whose marriage might have ended up divorces. It should be apparent that a social welfare worker can greatly reduce the fatigue associated with the occupation and can establish his or her identity as well if Christian divinity is added to the social-welfare services. On top of that, quality of social-welfare services can be enhanced a step further up, and deeds of the social-welfare workers can be conducive to restoration of humanity in terms of fundamental approach. In other words, if Christian parts are attached to the social-welfare services, a much abundant crop can be harvested more than ever.
