초록/요약
본 연구의 목적은 벤처기업의 기업가 정신과 국내환경이 해외진출성과에 미치는 영향에 관해 규명해 보고자 하는데 있다. 이러한 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위하여 첫째, 기업가 정신과 해외진출성과와의 정의 관계를 규명하고, 둘째, 국내환경의 불확실성을 조절변수로 사용하여 국내환경의 불확실성이 기업가 정신과 해외진출성과와의 관계에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 셋째, 국내환경의 적대성을 조절변수로 사용하여 국내환경의 적대성이 기업가 정신과 해외진출성과와의 관계에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 마지막으로 조절변수로 국내환경의 불확실성과 적대성 모두를 사용하여 국내환경이 기업가 정신과 해외진출성과에 미치는 영향을 총체적으로 살펴보았다 본 연구의 가설은 문헌연구를 통해 도출하였으며, SPSS V. 12.0를 통해 신뢰성 검증(reliability test), 상관관계분석(correlation test), 계층적 회귀분석(hierarchical regression analysis)을 통한 실증분석을 수행하였다. 이로부터 얻은 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 기업가 정신은 해외진출성과에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 기술혁신을 강조하고 제품의 디자인이나, 시장조사, 광고활동을 적극적으로 추진하는 기업가의 혁신성, 위험에도 불구하고 기회를 포착하는 위험감수성, 그리고 시장 내 경쟁 지위를 바꾸기 위해 경쟁자에 대한 적극적인 경쟁의지를 의미하는 진취성은 해외에 진출한 벤처기업의 수익성을 높여줄 수 있는 요인으로 작용하고 있음을 나타내 주는 것이다. 둘째, 국내환경의 불확실성과 기업가 정신이 높을수록 전체매출에서 해외매출액이 차지하는 비중이 더 높은 것으로 나타났다. 이는 환율, 물가, 세금 정책, 기업규제정책, 정치적 안정의 불확실성으로 인하여 발생할 수 있는 예상 외 손실에 대응하기 위해 기업가 정신이 높은 벤처기업들은 해외진출을 시도하고, 국내환경의 불확실성으로 습득한 지식을 효과적으로 해외시장에 적응함으로써 높은 성과를 이룰 수 있음을 보여주고 있다. 셋째, 국내환경의 적대성과 기업가 정신이 높을수록 해외진출만족도가 더 높은 것으로 나타났다. 이는 현재 국내시장에서의 경쟁이 높아짐으로써, 기업가 정신이 높은 벤처기업은 국내환경의 적대성에서 습득한 지식을 활용하여 수익성을 확보할 수 있는 해외시장으로 진출하여 높은 성과를 이룰 수 있음을 나타내 주는 것이다.

This study investigated the effect of entrepreneurship and domestic environmental conditions on international performance of venture firms. To verify research hypotheses, 73 venture firms with international experience were collected as samples and the data were tested by reliability test, correlation analysis, and hierarchical regression analysis. SPSS 12.0 was used for empirical test. The findings are as follows: First, entrepreneurship and international performance of venture firms are related positively. There are three main factors to improve their profits for the venture firms with internationalization process. The factors are proactiveness, risk taking, and innovativeness. Proactiveness includes technological innovations, product designs, and market research. Risk taking means a spirit of taking opportunities even though risks are remained, and innovativeness is a willing to take an advantageous position in a competitive market condition. Second, as uncertainty of domestic environment is increasing, venture firms with high entrepreneurship level try internationalization using their knowledge which was learned when they were having business in home country, and that results in higher performance. The risks of unexpected loss are caused by exchange rate, inflation rate, government policy on taxation, legal regulations, and political stability . Third, as environmental hostility of domestic country is increasing, venture firms with high entrepreneurship level have tensions to internationalize to improve profitability, using knowledge which they learned from domestic environment and that also results in higher performance.
