초록/요약

The International Competitiveness of Automobile Industry depends on both price and product competitiveness. Price competitiveness production is determined mainly by such factors as production scale per platform and maker, number of products per platform, assembly time per car, output per capita and wage, interest rate. The product competitiveness is mainly determined by such factors as consumer satisfaction index, development time for the new car. The research results of the international competitiveness of Korean car industry shows that it is inferior to such makers as Toyota, BMW, Ford, G.M., Volkowagen on general standard. To improve the inferior competitiveness, several strategies are recommended. The strategic alliance, globalization, M&A between local parts and Components suppliers, platform integration and some other measures are suggested as desirable strategic tools.
